What we collect
Server logs
Our web host records standard access logs — IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of request. These are generated automatically by the server and are used for security and troubleshooting.
Email you send us
If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply and, where relevant, follow up on a correction. We do not add you to any mailing list without your asking.
Comments
If commenting is open on a page and you leave a comment, we store the comment text, the name and email address you enter, and your IP address. Comment data is retained so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically.
Cookies
WordPress sets cookies when you leave a comment or log in to an account on this site. If you only read the site, these are not set.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination site or its affiliate network may set a cookie in order to attribute a later signup to us. That cookie is set by them, under their privacy policy, not ours. We receive only aggregate reporting — we are not told who you are.

Analytics
We may use standard web analytics to understand which pages are read and which search terms bring people here. Where analytics are in use, this section will name the service and link to its own privacy terms. If this section names no service, none is running.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not share your email address with vendors whose products we review.
- We do not display advertising networks on this site.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email info@cross-shore.com and we will act on it. Some records may need to be kept where law or our host’s log retention requires it.
Changes to this policy
When our practices change — for example if we add analytics or a contact form — we will update this page and change the date below rather than alter it silently.
